My dad was honoured the BBC Jazz Awards on Monday night and I am so proud of him! He truly deserves this award as has dedicated his life to jazz music since the 1940's. Thank you to Jamie Cullum and Kyle Eastwood for being there and supporting my dad, and thanks to Jeff Beck for making the performance extra special. We left the UK on the 9th January 2008, it was an incredibly painful and long journey but we made it to Toronto in one piece despite being four and a half hours delayed and the pilot threatening to take off with a part missing from the wing.

I woke up on the 10th October not knowing how much of a fun day I was going to have. The excitement began at the BBC TV Centre with Ladysmith Black Mambazo who were performing on the Alan Titchmarsh Show. The performance was aired yesterday, if you missed it don’t you worry as we are launching a video section on the AIR website, this will be uploaded for you to watch as many times as you want. All the members of Ladysmith are truly wonderful people it is a real honour to work with them. They were also on the Andrew Marr show yesterday morning on BBC 1.

I am writing about this as I am the proud god mother to the beautiful Elise Melody Connor who turned one years old on the 30th September 2007. I also promised her grandmother Maureen that I would.

Elise was looking gorgeous as ever and I helped her open her presents which was a lot of fun. I tried to join in on the pass the parcel game but wasn't allowed to. There were so many kids everywhere. For about a minute I felt really broody...after that whole minute had passed all I was thinking of was thank god I don't have babies yet!!

So I haven't actually spent much time in the new office as one of our artists has been in town doing press and promotion. Joe and I are the only people who have yet to unpack our stuff from the old office, the only difference is that Joe has been on holiday (jammy git only planned his holiday for the week that we moved in) and I have been been working like a maniac.

It has been a fun and exciting couple of weeks....... but man am I exhausted!
