The Ronnie Scott's experience

ronnieslogo.jpg

Ronnie Scott’s. Love the club, the man and the music?

Ever since his first trip to the jazz clubs of New York in the late 40s, Ronnie Scott had dreamed of opening his own London venue. In 1959 this dream came true when he, along with fellow saxophonist Pete King, opened Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho. With residencies from the likes of Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins and Zoot Sims, it quickly built a reputation as the place to hear the jazz greats from around the world. Now, approaching its 50 year anniversary, the club’s reputation is as strong as ever. Recent headline acts have included Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Kenny Garrett and Billy Cobham with support from the ever-present Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, featuring some of the biggest names on the British Jazz Scene.
