Universally acclaimed for his work with the groundbreaking and trail-blazing Esbjorn Svensson Trio, double bassist Dan Berglund is back with his new project Tonbruket. A mesmerising mixture of jazz-inspired ideas blended with the heavy rock and prog sounds that influenced his early pre-e.s.t. playing, Tonbruket marks a bold new direction for Berglund while still holding onto the startling creativity and ingenuity that made e.s.t.'s sound so enduring.

The band features Andreas Werliin on drums, widely known in the art-rock scene for his playing as half of Wildbirds & Peacedrums, as well as Johan Lindstrom on guitars and Martin Hederos on keyboards. The band will tour the UK in mid-March 2010, following the release of the eponymous album on ACT Music. Watch this space for further details...
