The dynamic jazz saxophonist and multi-talented composer, producer and musical director JASON YARDE will perform at the 2012 ‘Celebration Of Life’ Concert, organised by the Metropolitan Black Police Association to promote ‘Revival’, their anti knife crime initiative. The concert is at the Royal Festival Hall on the 19th October and the MBPA have put together a very strong line up of artists, with American vocalists NATURALLY 7, R&B star DONAE’O, reggae singer PETER HUNNIGALE and the very talented 4 Hero produced vocalist AYANNA also on the bill. House band for the evening will be the LIFEFORCE BAND and the evening will be hosted by veteran presenter CHRIS WALKER.
The MetBPA’s ‘Revival’ initiative works directly with London communities to address and reduce violent crime, particularly amongst young people. A brilliantly entertaining and varied event that unites music, performance and comedy, with a message that celebrates life and promotes peace in the capital, it guarantees to be a lively and entertaining evening for all ages and audiences.
